They had been before and the North Pole Experience Flagstaff has become a family tradition. It’s a 4-hour road trip from Las Vegas to Flagstaff, and we usually stay at The Little America. It is a cute and rustic hotel right off the Historic Route 66.
The Little America Hotel has a cozy reception area with Holiday décor, a real warming fireplace, a restaurant, and a gift shop. This is where you will start your journey and pick up your tickets and wristbands before heading over in one of Santa’s trolleys.
Trolley Ride to Santa’s Workshop
The North Pole Experience Flagstaff starts with an enchanting trolley ride from Little America Hotel in Flagstaff, which sets the scene for an extraordinary adventure. As you travel through the winter forests, anticipation builds, especially among the younger passengers.
The windows are covered while you face forward and listen to enchanting words from an elf explaining how a magical portal located at the from to the trolley will be taking you from Flagstaff to the North Pole so quickly. It’s a lot of fun since you get to sing a little chant to get the special portal to work.
Arriving at the North Pole
Upon arrival at the North Pole, you’re welcomed into a charming village that seems straight out of a Christmas storybook. The experience includes a guided tour through Santa’s massive workshop, where you can see elves at work, crafting toys and preparing for Santa’s big night. This behind-the-scenes look is a unique feature that sets the North Pole Experience apart from other holiday attractions. The backdrops and props are exquisite. 
Interactive and Engaging Activities
What makes the North Pole Experience in Flagstaff truly special is its array of interactive activities. After being greeted by toy soldiers, children get a chance to assist in toy making, participate in Elf University, enjoy Mrs. Claus’ freshly made Yetti-O’s (warm cinnamon donuts) and hot chocolate, and write letters in Santa’s very own mail room before having a private family meeting with Santa Claus himself. These activities are fun and immersive, allowing children and adults to feel like they’re part of Santa’s team.
My kids love dressing the teddy bears and helping put toys on the conveyor belt. They also love drinking hot chocolate and meeting with Santa one-on-one!
